Rinker
has been concentrating on runabout designs for 60 years, so they took
what was proven in previous models — vented chines for less friction,
an after-pad in the running surface for better pop onto plane —
and worked some new ideas into the 2006 Rinker 246 Captiva Cuddy. The
transom, for instance, slopes down to a big swim platform so nicely
that the outdrive and prop are tucked safely under the boat.
The
246 Cuddy has more passenger and cabin space per foot than most other
cuddies. If you entered the cuddy blindfolded you'd bet you were lounging
in the berth of a boat with a nine-foot beam, not a trailerable eight-and-a-half.
Headroom allows you to duck in without doubling over — quite an
accomplishment in a cuddy.
With
storage for ski gear and water toys, the Rinker Captiva 246 cuddy interior
features open-back seats, padded armrests all around, and a removable
trash bin. Standard features like a premium Clarion marine stereo, fiberglass
cockpit liner, docking lights, and recessed aft boarding ladder are
just some of the features you'll appreciate.
For
2006 the 246 includes a removable cooler, cocktail table, snap in carpets,
removable waste bin, forward anchor locker, color matched stand-up bimini
top, and a 350 MPI Mercruiser 300 hp Bravo 3. Rinker puts more standard
features into its boats than some competitors offer as options. In stock
